Thanks, YouTube.

I've been on the hunt for new music lately. Feeling like I struck gold with these artists. In no particular order...

Artist: Washington.
Megan Washington, 24, Australian. Hipster look, creatively excellent music videos. Something about her sound breaks my heart.

Artist: Little Dragon.
My friend Patrick recommended I check out this Swedish group. Sick. Kind of a sci fi, loungey ambient sound. The song "Twice" is particularly haunting. Have yet to watch their videos while stoned, but will. I have a feeling their magnificence has to be very magnified under the influence.
Feather (not a video, just a cover graphic set to the music)

Artist: Angus & Julia Stone.
Australian brother and sister pair. Kinda look like urban hippies. Enhanced acoustic sound. Also vaguely heartbreaking. Maybe I'm just overly empathetic.
Big Jet Plane (great video)

Artist: Sea Wolf
LA based artist. (Hollerrrrrr.) Great sound diversity. Initially heard of Sea Wolf because of song "The Violet Hour" is on the Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack. (Say what you will of the Twilight films... Their soundtracks are masterfully put together.)
Winter Windows (great video)

Artist: Best Coast
Another LA based artist. Surfer pop sound. Sounds like it was recorded in a tin can, in a good way. Like, if you got a bunch of friends together, and you all sat in a tin can (think: "Honey I Shrunk the Kids"), wearing sombreros and drinking cheap champagne, and then three of your friends pulled out instruments and your recorded it. It's a fun sound, but the words pine.
When I'm With You (the only actual official video of the bunch)

Artist: Grizzly Bear
Brooklyn based. Found this song off my Lykke Li Pandora playlist. GREAT video. Based off of their look/video, I thought they were British until I wiki'd them.
Two Weeks (intelligent remix below)

Artist: Brandun Deshay of Odd Future
LA based rappers with fearless lyrics and bold beats. I found this on his facebook page- a rap/remix of Grizzly Bear's 2 Weeks. Genius.
